Notwithstanding the partial damage to the infrastructures
of transport and communications for obvious
reasons for a long period of political and military
instability the Country is structurally well
covered as much from the point of view of means
and infrastructures which complement the access
to the whole country, as in relation to foreign
countries.
ROAD TRANSPORT
The road network covers about 75,000 km, of
which 7,955 km are tarred. The principal axis
characteristically joins the capital with the
interior, which is in the East-West direction.
Simultaneously other secondary branches interlined
among themselves and with its principal axis,
permit communication with the country on its
boundaries, in particular with Namibia, the
Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic
of Congo. In parts small and medium hotel and
tourist enterprises could well be started namely
in the business of Guest houses, Motels, Rent
a car, foreign exchange, restaurants, tourist
transports and other sectors of national economic
activity such as the supply of fuel and connected
services, health centers, general trade etc...

The country possesses a rail network of 2.750
km, in three axis not intercommunicated with

It is the principal means of external trade
whose infrastructures in general terms presents
well acceptable conditions, which has permitted
a good response to the enormous traffic of merchandise.
The country has three important ports of trade

fishing and oil rigging

AIR TRANSPORT
This means of transport is mainly directed
towards passenger transport, both from the point
of view national and international. A network
of infrastructures made up of airports and aerodromes
spread all over the Country, allows immediate
access to the whole national territory and to
the exterior through the international airport
of 4th February, in the capital. A TAAG (Angolan
Airlines) is the national airline operating
in the whole country and links the following
capitals:

Angolan rivers offer opportunities for business
of tourist interest or a mixture of commerce
and tourism.
River network made up of big rivers have along
their course a number of rapids some of these
navigable in tens of kms and susceptible of
encouraging the practise of water sports and
swimming. Among these we mention the Kwanza,
Zaire, Kuando and Cunene rivers.
